Netanyahu rejects the idea of withdrawal from the West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has flatly rejected on Sunday the idea of an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, occupied within two years, citing that it will lead to the arrival of "radical Islam" to the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, "We are now faced with the possibility of a political attack on us in an attempt to force us to withdraw to the 1967 lines within two years, through the decisions of the United Nations."
He explained that this would lead to "the arrival of radical Islam to the outskirts of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to the heart." He went on to say, "We will not allow this, this movement will deal responsibly and firm."
This comes at a time when US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in the Italian capital Rome on a short visit is expected to include talks with Israeli Prime Minister on private Palestinian state proposals, however, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Foreign Ministry said that Kerry and Netanyahu will meet in Rome on Monday to discuss various proposals being circulated at the United Nations on the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Kerry will meet with the head of the negotiations department in the Palestinian Authority, Saeb Erekat, in London on Tuesday. Palestinian officials said that Erekat would urge the US Minister to Washington not to use the right of veto in the UN Security Council to stop the proposals.
