The first case of healing of the Ebola epidemic in Mali



Authorities in Bamako announced Friday that a person infected with Ebola cured of the disease after receiving treatment inside the country, in the first case of its kind in the healing of Mali.

He said Health Minister Osman Kone during a press conference "to announce the first case of the healing of a person infected with Ebola. This person was treated successfully. I underwent a check twice to indicate the presence of the virus and brought negative result."

The minister made the remarks in the presence of President of the United Nations Mission for the emergency action against Ebola in Mali Sussiya Ibrahima Fall.

He declined Kone announced that cured the patient's identity and determine whether a man or a woman. There is still another patient Baapola receiving treatment in Bamako.

On the other hand, the health minister said that the people had been suspected wound Baapola make sure it is free of the virus. He explained that a total of 285 people were in contact with infected Baapola still under health surveillance.

Mali is the latest African countries eligible for the Ebola epidemic, which has claimed the seven deaths.
